Holy Island ‘Lindisfarne’

Holy Island or Lindisfarne to give it its proper name is an idyllic if rugged island approximately 30 minutes drive from Seahouses and is visited by thousands of people yearly.  It is separated from the mainland by a causeway and is only accessible when the tide is out.  Tide tables are published and it is important that visitors adhere strictly to these tables to avoid becoming stranded.
